Please do not take any pills and do not do anything extreme. I say this not only because I care, but because those things, technically, will not give you the results you want, neither in the short term nor in the long term.
That said, the best "diet" does not exist no matter what anybody suggests. You have to understand that if you are overweight, it is because of the way of living which you have had until now, so the only way to have a more fit body is to change this way of living.
However, understand that not a single human can change this quickly. This is one of the reasons most short term oriented diets fail. We get used to the way we like things and it really does take a long time and effort to slowly change these things to something else. And remember, any extreme change is not good for our health, our system.
